Dallas Petroleum Club
Thirty-nine floors up. The skyline is the venue.
The Dallas Petroleum Club sits on the 39th floor above Ross Avenue, and it offers exactly one thing no other venue in the city can: a ceremony at sunset with the entire skyline behind the vows, through floor-to-ceiling glass. Book it for that frame. Everything else about the club is comfortable, but that frame is the reason to be here.
Collections from $1,200. Photography only. Full galleries in 5–10 business days, depending on your collection.
One Frame Worth the Booking
The west-facing windows take direct sun from 4pm onward — sheers manage it, or the room holds until the hour arrives. Then, at sunset, the room turns: the city goes amber, the glass goes clean, and a ceremony timed 30 minutes before sundown ends as the skyline lights come up. That sequence is the entire visual argument for the venue, and it is a strong one.
The Rooms Around It
The mahogany bar — leather banquettes, amber light — photographs best after service hours. The private lounge corridor, lined with oil-derrick-era photographs, is the detail frame that tells you where you are. Capacity runs 40 to 250, and the smaller end keeps the windows in every composition.
What It Is Not
There is no outdoor space — the club is entirely interior on the 39th floor. The elevators are shared with office tenants, so nothing stages there. And weather never cancels a Petroleum Club wedding, but a hazy day flattens the skyline — the one variable no timeline can control.
Common Questions
Dallas Petroleum Club FAQ
Do you have to be a member to host a wedding at the Petroleum Club?+
It is a private club — events run through membership. Inquire with the club directly about hosting as a non-member.
Is there outdoor space?+
No. The club is entirely interior on the 39th floor. The floor-to-ceiling skyline windows are the point.
How many guests can it hold?+
From about 40 up to 250.
When should the ceremony start?+
About 30 minutes before sunset, so the vows land as the light turns and the city comes up behind you. We time it to the day's actual sundown, not a round number.
