Arlington Hall at Lee Park
Historic Dallas mansion. Small wedding gravity.
Arlington Hall is a Greek Revival mansion sitting inside one of Dallas's oldest parks. Columned porches, marble floors, and a terrace that opens onto Turtle Creek. It was built for celebrations that don't need a stage — the architecture does the lifting. For couples who want the weight of something historic without a 300-person guest list, this is the venue.
Why It Works for Intimate Weddings
The Great Hall seats 110 for a ceremony, but the room breathes even with 50. The Veranda and the Loggia give you ceremony-to-cocktail flow without the awkward march between spaces. Ceilings are tall enough that you don't feel on top of your guests. And because the building is inside Lee Park, your portraits after the ceremony can step onto grass, gardens, and mature oaks without anyone getting in a car.
The Light
Arlington Hall's east-facing columns catch soft morning light for ceremony portraits and warm late-afternoon light on the terrace. The interior rooms are chandelier-lit at night — good for ambiance, challenging for photography without a photographer who knows how to balance tungsten against window wash. Late fall through early spring is the best window for outdoor portraits on the terrace. Summer ceremonies should stay inside until golden hour.
Logistics That Shape the Day
The venue enforces an 11pm end time. Amplified music moves indoors after 10pm (park ordinance). Parking is on-street along Turtle Creek and at the adjacent Lee Park lot — no valet included in the base rate. The kitchen is a prep kitchen, not a full service kitchen, which means caterers bring everything. None of this affects photography directly, but it affects the timeline we build.
