Crown Block

Reunion Tower. The only rotating wedding room in Dallas.

Crown Block sits in the GeO deck of Reunion Tower — the ball on the Dallas skyline — and its dining room makes a full rotation every 55 minutes. No other venue in the city moves. That single fact shapes everything about how a Crown Block wedding gets planned and photographed.

Collections from $1,200. Photography only. Full galleries in 5–10 business days, depending on your collection.

Timing the Rotation

The rotation is mechanical and runs on a fixed schedule — it cannot be paused. So the ceremony gets scheduled so the vows land on the skyline-facing arc, and the timeline bends to the room instead of the other way around. Done right, the city slides past behind the ceremony like a slow pan. Done carelessly, the vows face the parking lots.

The Stationary Option

The Suite at Crown seats 30 with a fixed skyline view — the intimate version, and the right call for couples who want the tower without managing the rotation. The full room scales to 180.

Shooting in a Dim Room

Crown Block is dim by design, and security is strict about cable runs — heavy lighting kits stay home. The photography is available-light at altitude, exposed for the room's mood. The 1970s tower hallway, with the original ball-architecture diagrams, is the unexpected detail frame on the way in. No bridal suite — couples arrive dressed.

Crown Block FAQ

Can the rotation be paused for the ceremony?+

No — it is mechanical and fixed. The ceremony gets timed so the vows land on the skyline-facing arc, which photographs better than a paused room would anyway.

How many guests can Crown Block host?+

From about 30 in the Suite at Crown (stationary skyline view) up to 180 in the rotating dining room.

Can our photographer bring lighting?+

Minimal only. The tower is strict about cable runs and the room is dim by design — the venue rewards photographers who can work available light.
